Back from Lunch.... But still NO Anime and Manga

Ahh.... At last... At long, long last I've graduated from my Diploma at college. I was actually overwhelmed to think that I was gonna be free from all those classes, assignments and boring lecturers and go out and pursuit the world of art and Mangaka. Pursuiting such a career means lots of obseervation and scrutinization of the real deals namely Anime and Manga. And just as I expected that the time for total Anime and Manga indulgence had come, I was yet again downpressed to a slump when I was asked to take online courses and do petty jobs just for the reason of getting experience of 'living in the wild'. Well, I can't say it's all bad eventhough it totally threw my plans out the window, because it REALLY is something different and worth experiencing. But the price to pay for that ain't just a quater out my pocket but more time off my anime and manga... and I mean MORE time off my anime and manga.

Now that I'm stuck in the loop of my life again, I barely watch my favourite Bleach and I can't even read manga anymore! *Waaahhh.....* Not just that, I barely watch TV anymore! I can't even believe it myself. It's like since that day, my life has totally changed! Maybe some of you guys out there may think that I'm vain and all but come to think of it, what's life with out leisure and fun?

Well, maybe some people will say that it's just part of growing up. Ok, it that's really the case then this is what I would think about this: If growing up and living life means just working to try to live, then we ain't humans anymore. So before I go back to 'working to try to live', for those teenage friends out there who think that they are likely to be in my shoes, I suggest you guys get all the fun you want and need, try to do what you want and be what you wanna be before you grow up with regret.

Haha... I may seem a little bias and this post doesn't seem to fit in this blog but from my point of view, that's what anime and manga is all about. Anime and manga is made out of what everybody wants. Go with your instincts and inspiration and head on to what you seek. Who knows what you might find at the end.

Few More Weeks Till Total Anime And Manga Life

I know it's kinda disappointing that all the things at Anime Eki are old. I'm currently going through my last semester in college and only weeks away from being free from classrooms, assignments, lecturers and other annoying things that can happen in school life.

But I always cut some slack. I've been looking out for PSP, PS2 and a whole lot of other console games. Dissidia is coming out soon and it's gonna be in Japanese version. The release of the English version is still not available and in my opinion, I think it's gonna be released in a couple of year's time.

Busy Times... Anime And Manga Later

It's been quite a while since I blogged. There are so many things to do and so little time to do it. Since I found a small slot in my schedule, I decided to post something.

It's been about more than a month since Anime Eki started and things are still quite plain so I decided to feature items form Anime Eki store. Featuring Manga School with Selena Lin!

Final Fantasy Dissidia - Square Enix Fighting Game!

Ok. I know my recent posts are kinda running away from the anime genre an all but gaming could be an anime fan's interest too. In conjunction with Final Fantasy's 20 anniversary, Square Enix have decided to develop a game consisting of past Final Fantasy heroes and villains called Dissidia Final Fantasy. It is the first ever fighting game Square Enix has ever developed (as far as I have heard and seen) and it's gonna run on the PSP console. The character included so far are Warrior of Light, Frioniel, Squall Leonheart, Zidane Tribal and Tidus as heros and Garland, Emperor, Ultimecia, Kuja and Jecht as villains.

More and more information has been released about Dissidia Final Fantasy but the actual release date for this game is still to be announced but it is said to be within this year (2008). Recently, a new trailer has been released by Square Enix. It is in the Japanese version and more characters are shown compared to the previous trailer.

I've managed to get some screen shots of the remake of some of the past heros and villains from the trailer.

Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall - New MMORPG By Grigon Entertainment

You are the last line of defense! That's right! Get ready for the release of Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall this coming fall (December 30 2008 according to IGN). FusionFall is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) developed by Grigon Entertainment and published by Cartoon Network.

I know Cartoon Network doesn't sound so anime and all but trust me, FusionFall is related to anime and even manga. This mmorpg contains characters form various Cartoon Network show that are redesigned in an anime style by Mario F. Piedra who is also a co-writter of the FusionFall manga tie-in.

Despite it being an online game, it has a 3D environment (like imvu). This online game is free to download to play and players are able to create and configure their own characters the way they want. This game is still in beta and those interested to play can sign up here.

Overall, I think it is going to be a really great online game. Here's the trailer.

Vampire Knight - Anime Review And Manga Info

When the sunlight dies and moonlight shines, mysterious creatures rise.... Mysterious creatures that resemble human beings like bishounen and bishoujo with blood-red eyes and sharp fangs that crave for..... BLOOD...... Behold Vampire Knight!

Vampire Knight is one of the newest anime series this year (2008). Its about an academy where day classes are attended by normal human beings and night classes are attended by vampires that look like human beings of course. The protagonists are Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu who are prefects of the day class and are responsible to be on petrol at night when the night classes are going on. Yuki has feelings for her savior, Kaname Clan, who is a senpai form the night class whereas Zero hates vampires ever since his family was killed by a hideous vampire when he was small. Despite that, Zero shows vampire signs when night falls and tries to resist them.

The thing about Vampire Knight is that it kinda creeps me out. I have 3 hours of night class every week (normal human class) and I always get to wait alone outside for my transport to pick me home. (O_O") If vampires really DO exist, I've gotta eat more garlic and pray hard that they don't come my way.

Anyway, this anime series currently has about 13 episodes and its manga has 7 volumes in Japanese and 5 volumes in English so far.
The manga is written by Matsuri Hino and is categorized under shoujo manga and was chosen by ADV Films to be turned into an anime.

Batman Gotham Knight Anime Style

Ahh... Now that the weekend is over and things should be much better, I still hardly have time to post but hey, I can cut myself some slack, right?

Anyway, if you've seen my previous post, there was an announcement from Anime Eki Store about The upcoming release of the new series of Batman. You guys might be wondering why Batman will be on sale at Anime Nation? I repeat ANIME Nation. Here's why.

Batman Gotham Knight is a new animation by Warner Brothers and DC Comics that uses Japanese animation style of animation a.k.a. anime. It consists of 6 interlocking films where the story line starts from Batman Begins to Batman The Dark Knight. This anthology film is directed by 6 Asian directors (5 Japanese and 1 Korean if I'm not mistaken :P) and will be released on July 8th 2008.

In my opinion, when I first saw Batman Gotham Knight, I thoughthat Japan was gonna release a Batman series in the Japanese version because it looked so anime -like. But after watching the trailer, I knew it's in English and is going to be released in America soon. The graphics and the atmosphere kinda reminds me of animes called Trinity Blood and Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl). And by the looks of it, I think it is most suitable to watch it at night so that viewers can get more of the feeling of it.

Well, after all I think it is going to be another great film from Warner Brothers and DC Comics and I'll be waiting for its release. The Sky Crawlers Movie - A New Movie By Mamoru Oshii

Another Japanese animated movie based on the novel by Mori Hiroshi, The Sky Crawlers, is yet to be released this year in Japan. This movie is directed by the famous Japanese filmmaker, Mamoru Oshii, who also directed the wel-known 3D movie, Ghost in a Shell.

This movie stars teenagers who live in an alternate age and face war in their lives under the control of adults. As a result, they feel that their days can come anytime and hope to live each of their days to the fullest.

Director Mamoru Oshii gave an impression that this movie should be watched by youngsters these days who always have unlimited desires.

Review
In my opinion, The Sky Crawlers is going to be a terrific movie that is yet to be released. The particular part that would attract viewers is the smooth animation of the characters 3D graphics of the airplanes. Unlike regular Japanese animation like anime, the mouth movements actually synchronize with the speeches. There are gonna be dog fights, drama and action and I think it's gonna be a great release that everyone shouldn't miss.

Bleach 174 - Ninja's Got A Plan

I know this is kinda a spoiler but this is just one small part. So far this new season, like other seasons, is still interesting to me. I noticed that there are some ninjitsu elements included and it kinda reminds me of Naruto a bit. The villains wear ninja suits and masks to camouflage with the night but it just doesn't seem right for this guy to have such distinguishable hair for a ninja. On top of that, he's in charge. Heh... Probably this series isn't Bleach-ing enough.

Anyway, it's still another good episode of Bleach. Can't wait for episode 175 to be subbed.

Bleach 173 - Subbed

Finally Bleach 173 subbed is released. Although I've watched the raw version, I still feel like watching the subbed version. For one reason, it's because I can understand more on what's going on. I can catch some Japanese phrases but I still feel like I'm missing something.

After watching the subbed version, the expressions in the episode are clearer. But somethings are just too obvious especially this screen shot..... It's tough playing bodyguard. XP

After all, I'll still be waiting for the English dubbed version to be released.

Girly Tea Party In Bleach Episode 173

Ahh..... There's nothing better than posting in my blog on a sunny weekend afternoon..... about the latest episode of Bleach. It's not subbed yet (when I found out about it) but I just couldn't wait. Things just keep getting better and better, doesn't it? More girls in kimonos, a tea party and who knows, maybe some action after that.

Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2?

There has been rumors that there will be a new season for Haruhi Suzumiya but according to the latest issue of Japan's Newtype Magazine, it wouldn't be a sequel of the first but a whole new series. One of the reason why they are going to make a different series of Haruhi Suzumiya is because the production crew finds it hard to continue the plot from the first season. Despite that, the characters would probably still remain the same. The release date is still not confirmed.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 62 - Teammate

Synopsis
Asuma investigates the overnight destruction of a village and discovers that there is more than meets the eye. Naruto teams up with a boy named Sora from the Fire Temple to train as Sai was injured. As a newbie in Konoha with a bad attitude, Sora ends up brawling with Naruto, Chouji and Kiba. Later, while showing a new ninja technique, Asuma tells Sora about Kazuma, Sora's late father. Meanwhile, Furido and his gang plans to attack the Kohaku Clan.

Review
This episode has not much advancement in the plot. There isn't much action either but there is humor. I like it when Sora calls Chouji a fatty and seeing Chouji coming to a halt and dropping his pack of chips. Things are more hilarious when Rock Lee jumps in. Naruto humor never fails to amuse me. Haha...

Bleach Episode 168 - New Season!

After saving Inoue Orihime from Hueco Mundo, Kurosaki Ichigo and his friends returned to the normal human world. The part when they returned wasn't shown but somehow they returned... with Rukia alive!! O_o ? So far, Ive only watched the first episode of the new season of Bleach. I've posted some screenshots here at Anime Eki. I don't wanna post anything more about this episode 'cause... well spoilers ain't a good thing, right? Hi! I'm Shoukei. I've been watching cartoons since I was a kid and my favorite is...... BADDUM.... ANIME!! My favorite anime is Bleach. I always thought of setting up a blog since junior high school but I'm always caught up with exams, tests and homework.....ERGGH!! X( Now I am in college and things are a little bit loose but still....

Anyway, I finally got my first anime blog up - Anime Eki. If you've been wondering what Anime Eki means, Anime Eki means Anime Station.
